Bellavista Alma Gran Cuvee is grown and made in the Franciacorta DOCG region, in Lombardy.
The Franciacorta region that is home to Bellavista, is a D.O.C area located in the province of Brescia in the eastern part of Italy’s Lombardy region. One hundred and ninety hectares are sown with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc. The vines are divided into 147 plots located in 10 different Franciacorta municipalities.
Franciacorta, is known for producing Italy's finest sparkling wines and the region is seen as Italy's 'answer' to Champagne.
The Alma Gran Cuvee takes 40 months to make, from harvest to release. Cuvee is mostly made from Chardonnay with small amounts of Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianca. It shows aromas and flavours of ripe peach and nectarine, along with brioche, citrus peel and pastry. Good acidity combined with a strong minerality and a creamy mousse gives this wine a beautiful and long finish. Impressive with seafood or on its own as an apperitif.
Chardonnay (80%), Pinot Noir (19%), Pinot Blanc/Pinot Bianco (1%).
Made in the 'traditional method', the different parcels of wine are all vinified separately. 15% of the wines used in the blend are fermented and then matured for seven months in small oak barrels. These wines were then blended with the "reserve wines", which came from between six and nine earlier vintages. Once blended, the wine was bottled and the secondary fermentation took place in the bottle. It was then left to age on lees for two and a half years before release.
This crisp and refreshing bubbly is made from the Glera grape varietal, which is cultivated in the steep, terraced hillsides of the region. The nose is perfumed with notes of citrus, ripe apple and honeyed pear, which carry through to a bright and lively palate. On the finish, Vaporetto Prosecco is clean and dry with a subtle floral aroma. It's perfect as an aperitif or paired with light dishes like salads, seafood or sushi.

From the hillside vineyards that embody the best of the heartland of this great wine, comes the Cartizze, the finest expression of Prosecco Superiore: the perfect union of environment, history and human endeavour.
The Cartizze hillside, with its friable soil covering a layer of rocky terrain, lends a notable acidity to the grape, which is balanced by the natural sugars drawn out and preserved by the manual methods of cultivation.
107 hectares of vines wind their way along a steep crest to an altitude of 300 metres above sea level, enjoying ideal levels of sun and constant protection from cold winds.
Grapes: min. 85% Glera.

The roots of the vines stretch out downwards into the clay-laden marine sandstone of the steep slopes of morainic hills dappled with patches of “molera“ a soft citrine rock. The stony soil with various depths allows the roots of the vines to penetrate deep into the ground as far as the bedrock. The grape harvest, rigorously carried out by hand on the steep slopes, the strenuous work, the passionate and continuous confrontation with the extreme terrain bestows the mantle of Heroic Agriculture on this wine.
